03 / THE PEOPLE MAKE CARNIVAL
Mas bands bring costume, movement and a year of preparation to the parade. Want to participate? Contact a band directly about registration, costume and its joining arrangements.
Meet the official mas bands ↗Panorama celebrates steelband competition; the road brings another kind of energy. Static sound systems and live stages each have their own programmes.
Explore the steelbands ↗Leave space in the day for food and water. Ask traders directly about ingredients and allergens. Individual stalls move; this Atlas does not invent fixed food-vendor pins.
Official food & drink guide ↗04 / THE JOURNEY IS PART OF THE DAY
Stations inside the event area can close or operate with restrictions. Save an arrival option and a separate way home. A station pin marks its location; it does not mean that entrance will be open.
2027 Carnival travel arrangements are still to be published. Restrictions below describe the published 2026 plan.
Use the accessible-toilet filter as a reference, then reconfirm availability with the organiser. Crowds, kerbs, road closures and station restrictions can affect access. Step-free station information comes from TfL; the Atlas does not certify an accessible route.
TfL accessibility information ↗Choose a meeting place outside the busiest streets before you arrive. Keep your group’s plan available without signal, charge phones and agree a way home. Sunday is the organiser’s Families and Children’s Day; it can still be very busy.
Bring water, comfortable shoes and weather protection. Consider hearing protection near loud sound systems. Respect homes and performers, follow stewards and use designated facilities. For an emergency, contact the emergency services or nearby event staff.

Choose by neighbourhood and your journey home.
The organiser suggests staying outside W10/W11 and travelling in; our shortlist also includes nearby options for visitors who arrange access with the hotel. Recommendations reflect location and the hotel’s stated offering, not a personal inspection or a universal ranking. No live rates or availability are claimed. Check cancellation terms, minimum age, event access and total price directly.
WHEN THE STREET PROGRAMME ENDS
The listings below are genuine past Carnival events or promoter leads.
2027 after-parties are not confirmed here. Check the promoter’s current date, venue, age policy and ticket terms before booking.

Independent guide by Carnival Bites.
Not the official organiser or a live navigation service.
The organiser announces 28 August Panorama, 29 August Families and Children’s Day, and 30 August Adults Day. Programme details should be checked as the weekend approaches.
Notting Hill Carnival ↗The street circuit is independently traced from OpenStreetMap. Event references use the published 2026 street and venue information; individual pins show their source and precision. Use the official map for exact operational positions.
Council interactive map ↗TfL and the councils publish station rules, road restrictions and service changes. The historic layer is useful context; it is not a current closure instruction.
TfL Carnival travel ↗Images are stills from Carnival Bites archive footage. They show the atmosphere, not evidence of an individual pin’s location. Saved stops stay in this browser. No location permission, map tracking or hotel affiliate links are used.
Privacy information ↗Save favourite stops, download your plan or print a compact checklist. The map uses local street and event data, so exploring it does not call an external map service. Download the offline guide before you travel.
